Year in Review: Our Favorite Projects (And What Made Them Special)

As we reflect on 2025, we're grateful for a year filled with projects that allowed us to create truly meaningful outdoor spaces for homeowners across Middle Tennessee. Each project brought its own personality, goals, and design opportunities – and it's those unique combinations that made this year especially memorable for our team.

What we loved most about our 2025 work was the chance to design outdoor environments that feel personal and purposeful. Homeowners want spaces that support how they actually live: areas for gathering with family, spots for hosting friends, and peaceful corners for daily relaxation. Bringing those visions to life is where The Addison Group thrives.

Several of our favorite builds included beautiful pool and spa installations, but what made them stand out wasn't just the water – it was how the surrounding spaces worked together. We designed patios and landscape design that encourage long conversations, fire features that anchor cool evenings, and seating areas that welcome everyone in.

This collaboration with Winborn Landscape Construction on a private residence in Williamson County created a backyard filled with inviting retreat spaces. The gorgeous backyard pool overlooks a beautiful treeline and is complemented by multiple levels designed for different activities including a dedicated firepit area for chilly evenings and a long turf-lined stretch perfect for games like cornhole.

We also enjoyed creating versatile green spaces throughout our projects. Whether it was a putting green tucked beside a pool or a turf-lined stretch perfect for yard games, these features added both fun and function. Turf continued to be a favorite choice among homeowners thanks to its durability, low maintenance, and year-round beauty – helping each space stay inviting no matter the season.

This backyard in The Grove was transformed into a dream retreat—designed with the growing homeowner demand for separate spaces dedicated to different activities. This layout features the dual putting greens, plus two inviting gathering areas, and a stunning luxury pool and spa, all intentionally created to offer something for everyone.

Looking back, our favorite 2025 projects were the ones that brought joy and ease to the families who live in them. Designing outdoor retreats that feel like an extension of home – and seeing homeowners use them exactly as imagined – will always be the best part of what we do.
